Hi, My name is Nilda Molina and I started Nilda Chocolates in October 2005. My chocolates were made in a commercial kitchen-share facility and sold at local Farmer's Markets and Fairs throughout the Madison, WI area.

Coming up with a name for my business was the easy part. "Nilda" is a family name that originates from Puerto Rico. What better way to honor my family and heritage then by naming my business "Nilda Chocolates".

There really is no magical or inspiring catch-phrase I use when promoting my chocolates. My inspiration comes from a number of places. My childhood memories, various foods I have tasted from different cultures, and every day life experiences play a part in my creative process. I can only hope that when you try my chocolates you will enjoy them as much as I do.

As the Holidays approach us this season, I would like to take this time to thank my family, friends, & loyal customers for their support as I continue on this journey. Gracias a todos...

SHIPPING INFO:

We are now offering a flat rate shipping of $8.95 per destination. Our chocolates are currently shipped via USPS Priority Mail. There is an additional charge if you would like to upgrade to Express Mail. At this time, we only ship within the U.S. Orders being shipped to warmer climates above 72 degrees Fahrenheit will be shipped with ice packs at no additional cost. However, we are not liable for melted chocolates if Express Mail is not chosen as the preferred shipping method. Please allow 2-3 business days to process your order. During the holidays/ peak seasons, orders may take 4-5 business days to process and ship.

REFUND, RETURNS, & CANCELLATION POLICIES:

Nilda Chocolates guarantees the quality of our product. If your order is damaged in shipment (exclusive of heat damage), we will replace it free of charge. If for some reason you are not satisfied with your order please contact us witihn 2 days of receipt at 608.819.0414 so we can try to resolve the problem. We cannot assume liability for order delivery failure when the purchaser provides an incorrect delivery address and fails to notify us of the correct address before the product ships.

How can I place an order & what form of payments do you accept?

You can place an order through our secure website. We accept all major credit cards through PayPal for internet orders. PayPal is a free & secure payment processor and you do not have to register with PayPal to make a payment. You can also place an order by phone at 608.819.0414. Payment for phone orders can be made with Visa, Mastercard, or Discover. WI residents will be charged a sales tax of 5.5%. If you would like to pay by check or money order, payment must be received and processed before your order is shipped, resulting in a slight delay. Payments can be mailed to: Nilda Chocolates 2611 E. What are my shipping options?

We ship via USPS, Priority or Express Mail. We currently do not ship outside the US. We recommend you choose Express Mail to destinations over 72 degrees Fahrenheit. If you opt to ship via Priority Mail to destinations over 72 degrees Fahrenheit, we are not responsible for orders damaged due to weather conditions if you choose this shipping method. Orders shipped to warmer climates will include ice packs at no additional cost.

If you would like to include a complimentary gift card with your order, please enter your message in the box labeled "Include message with my gift" located in the shipping page.

Store pick up is also available. You can enter a pick up date in the comments box located in the shipping page of our website, or telephone us for availability. Please allow a minimum of 2 working days to process orders.

Can you tell me a little about your chocolates?

We are a small batch artisan chocolatier. All of our chocolates are made to order by hand. We do not mass produce and warehouse our confections, that way we ensure the quality, freshness, and flavor of all of our chocolates. Premium chocolates from around the world, in addition to the freshest butter, cream, and spices are used to make our chocolates. We do not add preservatives or stabilizers to our chocolates.

Shelf Life: Truffles have a shelf life of approximately 2 weeks. If you will not be consuming them in 3-4 days, we recommend you store the truffles, tightly wrapped in plastic, in the refridgerator. Allow the truffles to come to room temperature prior to eating them.

Toffee & Pecan Turtles - approximately 3 weeks

Caramels - approximately 2 weeks

Chocolate Bars & Mini Bars - approximately 12 weeks

The toffee, pecan turtles, caramel, chocolate bars, & mini bars can be stored at room temperature.

Allergies: Nuts & dairy products are used in many of our chocolates. Although the product you order may not contain nuts or dairy as an ingredient, it may have come in contact with these ingredients. So, if you have any type of nut or dairy allergy, please refrain from eating any of our chocolates.
